We all need a little extra something to help us through the day.
Whether it’s a meeting that got cancelled giving you one hour back, the kids’ homeschooling done for the day without hiccups, a phone call from a friend or finding your favourite pot of dessert that you forgot about in the fridge.
It’s the small things that count.
It’s also the small things that don’t usually take a ton of time to do – but have the greatest benefits.
Here are 5 easy rituals you can do to align with the cosmos better and that can contribute towards a smoother day for you.
You can download the align27 app and find these rituals on days that are good for you to do them according to your birth chart.
5 Easy Rituals For A Cosmically Smoother Day
1. Honor the Sun
Life on earth is impossible without the Sun. It is our natural Father and represents the Self, ego and our soul. It also signifies the power to meet everyday challenges that life brings forth.
When you first wake up, sit up in bed, close your eyes, face east if possible, the direction of the Sun, and honor it with the simple Sun mantra “Om Suryaya Namaha” either 11, 21 or 108 times.
2. Honor Your Food
Before eating anything – take a pause and thank and honor the people that were involved in order for this food to reach you.
Whether the farmers, the manufacturers, the supermarket workers, the person who cooked your meal (including yourself if it was you) and even Earth for supplying good soil in the ground and the rainfall needed for crops.
Chant Vishnu 3 times, i.e. Vishnu, Vishnu, Vishnu, a simple mantra offered to the deity that sustains us.
3. Align with the Powers of the Moon Mansion of the Day
Align with the powers of the Nakshatra (Moon mansion) of the day through sacred sound vibrations, by chanting it’s associated mantra 108 times to capitalize on the positive powers of the nakshatra.
A Sanskrit mantra is more than just a prayer with literal meaning. Man means “mind” and Tra means “instrument”, therefore a mantra is an acoustic tool that can be used to precisely align our minds with complex cosmic forces.
4. Align With The Ruling Planet of the Day
Each day is ruled by a planet. Honor and align with the powers of the ruling planet of the day with its associated mantra.
Sunday – Sun (Surya) – Om Shri Suryaya Namaha
Monday – Moon (Chandra) – Om Shri Chandraya Namaha
Tuesday – Mars (Mangal) – Om Shri Mangalaya Namaha
Wednesday – Mercury (Buddh) – Om Shri Budhaya Namaha
Thursday – Jupiter (Guru) – Om Shri Gurave Namaha
Friday – Venus (Shukra) – Om Shri Shukraya Namaha
Saturday – Saturn (Shani) – Om Shri Shanaishwaraya Namaha
5. Meditate to Planet Mantras and Sacred Sounds
Be it a guided meditation, a mantra to chant along with, music to accompany a yoga practice or sacred sounds to play in the background, you can align with the powers of any planet whilst also settling and calming the mind – a win win!
The Sattva Meditations & Mantras app has 100’s of meditation and sacred sanskrit sounds that you can meditate to.
You can narrow it down by searching for the names of the planets, based on the ruling planet of the day, in the Sattva library and the app will show a number of options for you with different timings according to your available time.
