Mercury, planet of intellect and communication, crosses the Gandanta zone between fire and water signs and nakshatras from March 29th to April 2nd 2023.
This junction area which translates to a ‘knot-end’ stretches from the final pada of Pisces-Revati through the first of Aries-Ashwini and has a quality of instability and karmic experience.
It’s hard to commit and see the future at this point, and for a planet like Mercury whose role is decision-making, conditions are uncertain, with still many ‘don’t knows’. Events may not work out as advertised when you look into the fine print, or else you can’t benefit straight away from good intelligence.
Friends may be acting strangely too, or else someone pulls out of an agreement which you believed was set in your diary. Take your time, and if a project or ambition is really worth the effort, then waiting a few days only plays in your favour.
Mercury in Pisces currently has support from its sign ruler Jupiter, which gives you the ability to think on a large scale, while also mastering the details. But once the planning stage is over, Aries-Ashwini gives you the courage for quick, decisive action and putting your ideas out into the world assertively.
You can still use your intuition, but in a prophetic, fiery way that sees you affirming yourself in times of doubt. Mercury also joins diplomatic Venus in Aries, which gives you sound social skills and a gift for saying the right thing at the right time.
You may wish to step up and win somebody over, but it’s as well to allow this gandanta passage to pass before making a commitment too soon.
