Venus in Uttara Phalguni ~ Leisurely romantic fun.

Venus, planet of art and relationships, is in Uttara Phalguni in the signs of Leo and Virgo from October 20th to November 1st.

This nakshatra is similar in many ways to its predecessor, Purva Phalguni, though here Venus is concerned even more with partnerships and helping other people.

Uttara’s symbol is a hammock once again, and its presiding deities Aryaman and Bagha put the emphasis on leisure, enjoyment and romantic affairs. You like to take it easy, to be in company you enjoy and simply live for the moment. Your social life expands as you put energy and focus into your friends and associates, and become super-popular with the minimum of effort. You flirt and take relationships as they come, though there is a risk of being too cavalier in your approach and underestimating the seriousness of a scenario.

Venus is debilitated in Virgo from October 24th, but is rescued by its sign-exchange with Mercury retrograde, which may see an old face coming back into your life. Expect unfinished romantic business at this point, or a creative project to be revisited.

A new encounter starts out in light spirits but there is also the potential for Venus to be trapped or get drawn into jealousy or another compromising situation. Yet there is no malice or ulterior motive to you now; what you see is what you get and if anything you are guilty of naivety and not sensing someone else’s hidden agenda.
