It’s all great when it’s a Green Day and it’s full of Golden Moments, right?

Wrong!

This app is about awareness — and going about your day with the knowledge of when time is flowing with or against you. It’s like a weather app — if you know it’s going to rain, you will take your umbrella and leave a few mins earlier to avoid delays. If you know the sun’s rays are going to beam bright, you’ll prepare and wear sun protection.

In the same way, if you know your day will be Red and/or you have to do important activities during Silence Moments, you go into that moment prepared and with awareness.

You have time to eliminate the probability of things going wrong. For example, you’ve double-checked the meeting that you’re about to run, has the correct Zoom link associated with it, or during your online session, you triple check you’re muted before you take a personal phone call.

The good news is that there is no reason to fear Red Days and Silence Moments — they are inevitable. They are going to happen whether we want them to or not — and it’s better we know when they are rather than not.

What should you do if you have an important meeting scheduled during a Silence Moment and for example your day is Red?

Breathe! Literally. The stars (nakshatras) are connected to the Vayu tattva (the air element). The best way to handle the restlessness or turbulence caused by the air element is through breathwork or Pranayama (the practice of breath control).

Be Mindful — for example, if you have a meeting with your boss, play it safe. Listen attentively and be mindful of every word that you speak. Lay low and be undercover; this is not the time to show off, as it’ll likely backfire.

Don’t anticipate that the meeting is going to be disastrous — your thoughts create powerful intentions, so instead, just be aware. This awareness itself can help tremendously

The rituals definitely come in handy during this time. Think of them as mini superpowers in your pocket, that you can use to create a protective shield around you. You don’t have to do all the rituals prescribed for the day but do as many as you can. If you do not have the time just be aware and conscious of your actions.
